Crabalope Oceanfront, Hot tub, Arcade + Pets

A perfect layout for an extended family (we had 4 generations) that allowed easy together time but also separate spaces for those breaks every family inevitably needs! Each unit had 2 bedrooms with queen beds, a bathroom, kitchen, living room and dining area plus outdoor spaces that connected for outdoor living. The downstairs bedroom is separate and provided a 5th bedroom suitable for grownups. The two main spaces are accessed via a wide staircase leading up from the parking area; the lower bedroom is at ground level with the parking/street level.Furnishings, dishes, pans etc were not fancy but adequate. We had kids and dogs and were happy to not be in a showroom. The kids had so much fun in the evenings in the arcade room with ping pong, foosball, and a variety of video games plus the south unit had a supply of games, and the unit also had a variety of beach/outdoor toys. The hot tub worked great and seated 5-6.The walk to the beach is a short sandy stroll through the dunes (maybe 100 yards?) which drops down to the beach immediately in front of the twin rocks. The beach is wide, long, sandy and a great place for playing or a leisurely stroll. There is a wheelchair accessible trail about 3 blocks north of the unit if you have anyone that could benefit from easier access to the beach. Groceries in Rockaway are limited so definitely come prepared--for shelf stable needs Dollar General was great. The scenic train ride was great!Mgmt was great; would stay again!

We booked this property for a family get together with 4 families (7 adults and 7 kids ages 1-8 years), and it was absolutely perfect! The communication with the property manager was excellent. The location is absolutely amazing. The house is a wonderful set up for multiple families and kids of all ages! We would love to come back in the future!

Our friend group had a lovely long weekend here. We have stayed at a couple of their places and they are all great. The walk to the beach is so pretty and quick. The outdoor area was perfect for sunset views and meals all together. We really enjoyed our stay!

The location and beach were great. This could be a very special property but, unfortunately, it hasn't been maintained very well. Siding is falling apart. Ivy is crawling up the exterior of the homes. North cottage bathroom fan didn't work and there was black stuff growing on the ceiling. We had an unfortunate encounter with a rodent. South cottage had a bad smell, likely caused by rot or something dead in the walls, that had us keeping all the windows open, even at night. Exterior light timer was off and some lights were out so property entry was very dark.
